Prince William<\/strong> shed a bit light on Prince George<\/strong>\u2019s future at boarding school during a sweet radio shout-out to his children.<\/p>\n

Throughout the Friday, May 22, episode of Heart Breakfast<\/em><\/a>, William, 43, revealed that George, 12, is preparing for boarding school, after noting that he wouldn\u2019t be home to listen to his radio broadcast, which was taped within the Isles of Scilly.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, Charlotte and Louis, because George is boarding last night, so Charlotte, Louis, if you happen to\u2019re listening, be certain that you\u2019re on time, please,\u201d the Prince of Wales said. \u201cBe certain that you\u2019re not fighting over who\u2019s listening to what this morning.\u201d<\/p>\n

George, who’s the eldest of William and wife Princess Kate Middleton<\/strong>\u2019s three children, is currently attending Lambrook School along with his siblings. (William and Kate, 44, also share daughter Princess Charlotte<\/strong> and son Prince Louis<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tPrince William is adamant that his children have a \u201crelatively normal home life,\u201d despite their royal titles. \u201cI do try to persist with school timetables as best as possible. So, most days we\u2019re out and in of faculty doing pick-ups and drop-offs,\u201d William, 43, said during his recent appearance on Eugene Levy\u2019s The Reluctant Traveler [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As George nears his teenage years, royal watchers have speculated where he’ll go off to highschool for full-time boarding, including whether he\u2019ll follow in William\u2019s footsteps and attend Eton College.<\/p>\n

George\u2019s current prep school only goes through 12 months 8 (between ages 12 and 13), however it does offer weekly and flexi-boarding for youngsters ages 7 to 13, in line with the Lambrook website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

William\u2019s comments on Friday appeared to verify that George was doing the flexi-boarding plan in preparation for the full-time shift in education when he\u2019s a teen.<\/p>\n

George was previously spotted touring Eton College in 2023 alongside his mom and pa, adding fuel to the rumors that he’ll start there in the subsequent yr or two.<\/p>\n

The longer term king \u2014 who’s second in line for the throne behind William and grandfather King Charles III<\/strong> \u2014 has also been rumored to be considering Kate\u2019s alma mater, Marlborough College.<\/p>\n

Marlborough is co-educational, so if George does go there, he could potentially attend school with Charlotte, 11, and Louis, 8, once they’re of age.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tPrince William and Princess Kate Middleton\u2019s eldest son, Prince George, has loads of time before his royal duties officially start, in line with writer Robert Hardman. In his recent book, The Making of a King: King Charles III and the Modern Monarchy, which hit shelves on Thursday, January 18, Hardman reported that \u201cPrince George won’t [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Outside of his next educational steps, George is preparing for his future role because the British monarch, in line with royal historian Marlene Koenig<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Koenig exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> in August 2025 that George is \u201cundoubtedly aware of his future role\u201d as heir to the throne, but won\u2019t should worry about taking his seat any time soon, \u201cbarring any accidents or health issues\u201d on William\u2019s end.<\/p>\n

With regards to Kate\u2019s role in her son\u2019s ascension to the throne, Koenig said, \u201cShe is going to never have a constitutional role, except as regent in a worst-case scenario, if George becomes king before age 18.\u201d<\/p>\n
