\n\t \n\tParamount is just not actually attempting to \u201csuppress\u201d copies of Colbert\u2019s surprise appearance on Only in Monroe, <\/em>as rumors across social media suggested over the weekend.<\/p>\n \n\tA day after hosting the last ever Late Show<\/em> on CBS, Colbert popped up as a surprise host Michigan public access TV show based in Monroe, Michigan, at 11:30 p.m. Friday. Surprise guests included Jack White and Jeff Daniels, with other surprise appearances from Steve Buscemi, Eminem and Byron Allen (via FaceTime). The show\u2019s regular hosts, Michelle Baumann and Kaye Lani Rae Rafko Wilson (a former Miss America), also were on the show.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cStephen Colbert\u2019s return to Monroe within the Only in Monroe<\/em> episode was financed and produced by\u00a0CBS Studios and was\u00a0posted on Stephen Colbert\u2019s YouTube channel in collaboration with Monroe Community Media and The Late Show<\/em>\u2019s YouTube channels,\u201d a CBS spokesperson said. \u201cAs\u00a0is our regular practice, we send copyright notices to unauthorized web sites that post copyrighted\u00a0content from CBS and our network\/studio talent similar to Stephen Colbert. Nevertheless, for this episode, have decided to waive further enforcement of this standard industry practice until additional review.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tCBS announced that it was canceling Late Show <\/em>in July 2025 as Paramount and Skydance were in talks to merge.
