MANILA, Philippines \u2014 Alyssa Solomon headlined the 42 aspirants within the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Rookie Draft pool.<\/p>\n
The PVL released the initial list of this 12 months\u2019s draft class, bannered by former UAAP and NCAA stars.<\/p>\n
Solomon, the 6-foot-1 opposite spiker from National University, is bringing her world-class game back to the Philippines after an overseas stint within the Japan SV.League and several other podium finishes with Alas Pilipinas.<\/p>\n
Solomon, a three-time UAAP champion and Season 86 Finals MVP, reached the SV.League Finals with the Osaka Marvelous on her first season, suiting up for 30 games and unleashing 147 points built on 116 deadly attacks, 27 blocks, and 4 aces.<\/p>\n
NU teammate, Lams Lamina, a two-time UAAP Best Setter can be a part of the list, which incorporates University of the Philippines star Ni\u00f1a Ytang, and University of Santo Tomas captain and two-time Best Libero Detdet Pepito.<\/p>\n
Also from UST are outside spikers Jonna Perdido and Xyza Gula and UP quartet Irah Jaboneta, Joan Monares, Heart Magsombol, and Jum Gayo. Far Eastern University setter Tin Ubaldo and her teammates Ann Asis and Florize Papa; La Salle\u2019s Ela Raagas, Michelle Beterina, and Sophia Sindayen; the University of the East trio of KC Cepada, Tin Ecalla, and Kayce Balingit; Adamson\u2019s Barbie Jamili; and Ateneo\u2019s playmaker Taks Fujimoto are also a part of the draft.<\/p>\n
Adding a world dimension to the draft is lone Fil-Foreign prospect Jade Fuentes of Cal State Dominguez Hills. The California-born, 6-foot spiker is not any stranger to local volleyball, having previously suited up for La Salle before continuing her journey within the US.<\/p>\n
NCAA champion players from Letran, Lara Mae Silva, Natalie Estreller, and Julienne Castro aspire to enter the professionals.\u00a0 <\/span>San Sebastian fields the harmful trio of Katherine Santos, Christina Marasigan, and Kristine Dionisio, with Marianne Alona and Gayle Batara of Jose Rizal U; Johna Dolorito and Janeth Tulang of Lyceum of the Philippines U; Grace Cabadin and Alyanna Ong of Mapua; Erin Navarro of San Beda; and Perpetual Help\u2019s Fianne Ariola spicing up the solid.<\/p>\n 5-foot-9 middle blocker Kirsty Destajo from University of Nueva Caceres-Sorsogon, Cebuano ace blocker Angel Galinato from University of San Carlos, and Jesska Sacay and Marjorie Orpilla from Immaculada Concepcion College, and Lyca Dela Pe\u00f1a representing the Polytechnic University of the Philippines eye a break to the large stage.<\/p>\n The 42 PVL hopefuls are set to showcase their skills on the mandatory Draft Mix from May 28 to 29 on the Gameville Ballpark in Mandaluyong City. Applicants have until June 1 to withdraw their names from the pool.<\/p>\n The highly anticipated draft lottery took place Monday night on the TV5 Media Center, determining the order of the highest 4 picks for the PVL Draft. The event is supported by Buffalo\u2019s Wings and Things, Ibis Styles Manila, Novotel Manila, and Gameville.<\/p>\n Capital1 holds the best probability of securing the No. 1 overall pick at 40 percent, following a 9.05 weighted average across three conferences.
