Taken without permission pls legal before using. https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/sab_thi\/reel\/DYtmlD-svEl\/\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\">\t<\/div><figcaption>Sabrina was knocked out of the sky while paragliding on her birthday (Picture: Instagram)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class=\"factbox\" data-ico=\"factbox_article\" data-track-module=\"factbox_article\">\n<h2 class=\"factbox-title\">\n\t\t\t\tEnroll for all of the newest stories\t\t\t<\/h2>\n<div class=\"factbox-content\">\n<p>Start your day informed with Metro&#8217;s <strong>News Updates<\/strong> newsletter or get <strong>Breaking News <\/strong>alerts the moment it happens. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Police said the 44-year-old\u00a0paraglider\u00a0from Upper\u00a0Austria, named Sabrina,\u00a0had taken off from Schmittenhohe mountain and was flying towards Piesendorf when the crash happened at around 1.15pm.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities said the Cessna was being flown by a 28-year-old pilot from Tyrol who was carrying out an alpine sightseeing flight after departing from Zell am See Airport.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators said the aircraft had been flying from the Glemmtal valley towards Zell am See when it collided with the\u00a0paraglider\u00a0above the Pinzgauer Hut area.<\/p>\n<p>The propeller reportedly caused severe damage to the\u00a0paraglider\u00a0cover, forcing Sabrina to deploy the reserve parachute.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency crews described it as extremely fortunate that no person suffered serious injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0paraglider later wrote on Instagram: \u2018Glad birthday to me.
