Television and OTT actress Khushi Dubey has steadily carved an area for herself with unconventional roles and emotionally layered performances. Best known for enjoying Chikki Chauhan in Gul Khan\u2019s hit romantic thriller series Aashiqana, the actress became a fan-favourite for her chemistry with co-star Zayn Ibad Khan and the show\u2019s intense romantic storytelling. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble<\/strong>, Khushi opened up about shooting daring romantic scenes in Aashiqana. Scroll on to know what the actress needed to share.<\/p>\n Talking about whether she initially felt uncomfortable while filming intimate scenes for the show, Khushi admitted that the experience was completely latest for her. She shared, \u201cWoh tha matlab starting mein mere liye bahut\u2026 maine kabhi kiya nahi tha. So the thing is that I got very comfortable with Zayn as a co-actor, as a friend. In order that could be very necessary, otherwise thoda sa wo dikhta hai on screen.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n The actress further praised producer Gul Khan and the complete team for handling the scenes with sensitivity and clarity. She added, \u201cAur jo scenes humne shoot kiye the, I mean Gul ma\u2019am has helped rather a lot. You realize ki kaisa dikhna chahiye. Initially, she had called me that aise hai scene, nevertheless it is simply because we wish\u2026 this is part of the story, aise-aise karke. And joh team hai, they made sure that we’re very comfortable. Joh mere director hain, he made sure that we’re very comfortable, minimal se minimal log rahein uss space mein.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Khushi explained that she became so immersed within the role that the scenes eventually began feeling natural to her. She said, \u201cAnd I feel maine Aashiqana ki journey as Chikki, maine khud itni jee li thi na ki it was just an element of the show for me, . I never took it like a really big, some very tough scene or something. Aur aapke co-actor se aapki bonding, aapka comfort level kaisa hai, uss pe bhi depend karta hai ki aap usko kitna achhe se kar sakte ho. But difficult toh rehta hai because , you\u2019re spending time along with your family members in a honeymoon versus you doing it in front of 200 people is a really different thing.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Khushi also identified that the OTT platform gave the makers barely more creative freedom in comparison with traditional television. \u201cAnd it\u2019s really difficult in terms ki you can not look uncomfortable within the scene. Aur doosri baat yeh thi ki wo Hotstar pe aa raha tha toh iss wajah se bhi ek thoda liberty le rahi thi ma\u2019am ki we’ve got to take it to a level up when it comes to this also. Aur luckily, woh humare case mein bahut beautiful lagta tha.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n She added, \u201cIt was not looking vulgar and folks were liking it in a romantic way. Toh haan, aur TV ke liye jo TV ke audiences the unke liye alag isliye tha kyunki at all times the hero-heroine come, but they never kiss, they hug, but they never kiss. So, woh bada shocking ho gaya tha sabke liye ki achha ho gaya, like .\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Speaking about how she bagged Aashiqana, she recalled, \u201cAbbas sir, joh creative the, unhi ka call aaya tha ki there’s this series for Disney+ Hotstar, jo Gul Khan ma\u2019am is making, and aap uske liye audition send kar do. Aur us time pe principal auditions nahi de rahi thi because I used to be going for my Masters. Aur maine us waqt randomly Disney ke baare mein sun ke aur ma\u2019am ke baare mein sun ke I used to be like, \u2018Thik hai, dete hain.\u2019 It was very random.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Khushi added that she was shocked when she got chosen almost immediately after auditioning for the role. She revealed, \u201cAur Gul ma\u2019am really liked the audition. Then I got a call the subsequent day that you’ve been finalised. The very next day, that \u2018you’ve been finalised\u2019. And I used to be very shocked actually. Principal aur papa, we were all laughing ki yeh kahaan se ho gaya, . Toh phir maine apni university ki seat defer ki kyunki principal already paise pay kar chuki thi. Phir woh journey start hui. I used to be doing my engineering ka last yr.
