Xbox heads Asha Sharma and Matt Booty have been busy making a large swath of changes to Microsoft\u2019s gaming division since taking up a couple of months back. Meanwhile, it seems that console exclusivity is once more back on the table following a recent staff memo, which indicates that <em>\u201cAlong the way in which, we are going to reevaluate our approach to exclusivity, windowing, and AI, and share more as we learn and choose.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/news.xbox.com\/en-us\/2026\/04\/23\/we-are-xbox\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">memo<\/a>, which was sent to Xbox\u2019s teams last month, is a reminder that Sony is just not alone on the subject of informing staff of latest changes on the horizon regarding the return of platform-exclusive releases. It was only last week when a Sony Exec let their staff know that single-player games will remain on its consoles moving forward, dashing any hopes that the upcoming <em>Marvel\u2019s Wolverine<\/em> from Insomniac Games (<em>Spider-Man 1, 2, Miles Morales<\/em>) would make its strategy to PC. Nonetheless, for now, Xbox is staying committed to bringing Playground Games\u2019 <em>Fable<\/em> to PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet tw-align-center\" data-theme=\"dark\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Fable can be available at launch on Xbox Series X\/S, Game Pass, Steam and PlayStation 5 \ud83d\udc4d<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Fable (@fable) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/fable\/status\/2057001701828137261?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">May 20, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The large unknown still stays that a release date has not yet been revealed for <em>Fable<\/em>; beyond that, it&#8217;ll arrive in Autumn 2026. Additionally it is unclear if the sport can be one in every of the last single-player titles to launch on multiple platforms or if Xbox intends to proceed offering its games on PlayStation despite Sony\u2019s recent change of heart.
