The strangulation charge is a felony, with the opposite 4 charges being misdemeanors. Jacobs has denied the allegations.<\/p>\n<p>In keeping with the discharge from the Hobart\/Lawrence, Wisconsin police department (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RapSheet\/status\/2059402172987502630\">via NFL Network\u2019s Ian Rapoport<\/a>), the arrest stems from a \u201cdisturbance grievance\u201d involving Jacobs that took place on Saturday. Jacobs turned himself in today.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cJosh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is within the early stages of investigation with necessary evidence that has not yet been made public,\u201d<\/em> the player\u2019s attorneys, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, said in an announcement (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RapSheet\/status\/2059404010298212491\/photo\/1\">via Rapoport<\/a>). <em>\u201cWe ask for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Packers also released an announcement (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TomPelissero\/status\/2059403696035750181\">via NFL Network\u2019s Tom Pelissero<\/a>):<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe&#8217;re aware of the matter involving Josh Jacobs. Because it is an ongoing legal situation, we&#8217;ll withhold further comment.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The NFL released an identical statement (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TomPelissero\/status\/2059406161388912953\">via Pelissero<\/a>):<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe&#8217;re aware of the report and have been in touch with the club.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Following a five-year stint with the Raiders to start his profession, Jacobs inked a four-year, $48MM contract with the Packers ahead of the 2024 season. Through his first two years in Green Bay, the veteran has compiled 2,882 yards from scrimmage and 30 total touchdowns.<\/p>\n<p>From a football standpoint, Jacobs can be subject to the league\u2019s personal conduct policy.
