With the 1TB Steam Deck OLED now $949, the ROG Xbox Ally X is simply about $50 more and runs on much newer hardware within the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme, with a 1080p 120Hz display and considerably more RAM. The Steam Deck OLED still has the nicer OLED screen, though that\u2019s about it on the hardware side.<\/p>\n
Which makes us wonder how long before ASUS revisits pricing on the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X. The identical memory and storage cost pressures hitting Valve aren\u2019t sparing anyone in the hand-held space, and the remaining of Valve\u2019s upcoming Steam hardware lineup has already faced delays for a similar reasons.
