Joy Behar<\/strong><\/span> is briefly stepping away from The View<\/i><\/span> to work on a passion project.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou higher tell people why I\u2019m not [going to be on the show],\u201d Behar, 83, shared on the Tuesday, May 26, episode of the \u201cBehind the Table<\/span><\/a>\u201d podcast. \u201cI fly to Paris this week, after which I’m going take the tunnel to London after per week, and I\u2019ll be in London a second week doing my play, My First Ex-Husband<\/i>, on the Boulevard Theatre within the West End. Now we have Jackie Hoffman<\/strong> and I [playing] the 2 American women talking, then we’ve two British actresses. Doesn\u2019t that sound like fun?\u201d<\/p>\n

Due to Behar\u2019s temporary hiatus from ABC\u2019s daytime talk show, The View<\/i>\u2019s executive producer Brian Teta<\/strong> revealed that some guest cohosts will likely be stepping in to assist.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re going to have some folks filling in for you,\u201d he shared. \u201cWeek one, we\u2019ve already told those that Sheryl Underwood<\/strong> is coming for 2 days. Next week, we\u2019re going to have [journalist] Kara Swisher<\/strong>, who could be very funny, very smart. Ana<\/strong> [Navarro<\/strong>] will likely be here some days and Whoopi<\/strong> [Goldberg<\/strong>] will likely be on the Friday shows.\u201d<\/p>\n

Underwood, 62, who was previously a cohost of The Talk<\/i><\/span>, made a positive impression on the audience when she briefly filled in for Alyssa Farah Griffin<\/strong> during her maternity leave.<\/p>\n

Behar joked that she will likely be back very quickly and warned viewers that producers \u201cmade me bank the weekend shows though I\u2019m not here.\u201d<\/p>\n

America\u2019s most-watched daytime network talk show previously expanded into weekends with a brand new streaming series titled The Weekend View<\/i><\/span>. The 30-minute show tackles various Hot Topics that weren\u2019t covered in the course of the week.<\/p>\n

Before Behar takes a temporary hiatus from The View<\/i>, she’s going to proceed to voice her opinion on the daytime talk show for the week.<\/p>\n

In the course of the Wednesday, May 27, episode, Behar sounded off on Robert F. Kennedy Jr<\/strong>. tackling two snakes<\/span> at Dr. Mehmet Oz<\/strong>\u2019s Florida house. She also weighed in on the controversy as as to if it\u2019s OK to take a position on President Donald Trump<\/strong>\u2019s health.<\/p>\n
