Brody King defeated Claudio Castagnoli to advance within the 2026 Men’s Owen Hart Cup during “AEW Dynamite.”<\/p>\n
The match saw back-and-forth motion with striking exchanges within the ring, King eventually sending Castagnoli to the surface. Castagnoli sought to stay there and take a breather but King followed him to proceed the offense.\u00a0<\/p>\n
King returned to the ring briefly to interrupt the referee’s count but when he returned Castagnoli managed to get back into the fight, resuming their striking exchange at ringside before returning to the ring to proceed it.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Castagnoli got the higher of King and compelled him into the corner. But then King turned things around to start chopping his opponent within the corner, just for the tides to alter over again with Castagnoli laying European uppercuts in.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Once more the match become an exchange in the course of the ring ending just once they’d each floored each other. But then they continued to fight on their knees, dropping each other once more.\u00a0<\/p>\n
King searched for the cannonball into the corner, Castagnoli rising to satisfy with one other European uppercut, just for King to drop him over again into the corner to finish the cannonball and send Castagnoli outside the ring.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Back within the ring and Castagnoli connected with a pop-up European uppercut that King tanked to drop Castagnoli over again, making the quilt and getting the winning pinfall. He’ll now face Swerve Strickland within the semi-finals, after Strickland defeated Bandido at Double or Nothing.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/article><\/div>\n
