The Recent Jersey Devils likely desire a Nico Hischier extension done this offseason<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic<\/strong><\/a>: 27-year-old Recent Jersey Devils forward Nico Hischier<\/a> has a 12 months left on his contract at a $7.25 million cap hit. Devils manager Sunny Mehta held preliminary talks with agent Allain Roy about two weeks ago. It might be hard to see the Devils wanting to enter next season with an extension in place.<\/p>\n

If Hischier were to be made available, you’ll likely see the Los Angeles Kings, Minnesota Wild, and Montreal Canadiens among the many interested teams. There would likely be around 12 more teams interested as that kind of player doesn\u2019t at all times change into available.<\/p>\n

The Devils and Hischier would want to seek out a number that either side can live, and that Hischier will likely be to be okay with the direction the team is getting into.<\/p>\n

I believe that\u2019s something where if they may discover a option to move up, if it\u2019s 14 and Kent Johnson to get into the highest 10, I believe that\u2019s not less than an intriguing start line.\u201d<\/p>\n
