Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has resigned as captain of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) within the Indian Premier League. Soon after, he was named captain of the franchise for the 2025 season. Nevertheless, LSG struggled under his leadership, securing only six wins from 14 league-stage matches.<\/span><\/p>\n The wicketkeeper-batter also had a modest season with the bat, managing 269 runs in 13 innings. Despite the team\u2019s failure to qualify for the playoffs, the franchise continued to back him as captain for IPL 2026.
