Dmitry Medvedev issued a chilling warning to Europe after a Russian drone hit a block of flats in Romania. <\/p>\n

Friday\u2019s incident, which took place in a Nato member nation, sparked widespread condemnation across Europe. <\/p>\n

The drone struck an apartment complex in Galati, within the east of the country, leaving two people injured. <\/p>\n

Foreign minister Oana Toiu said the incident should trigger Nato Article 4,\u00a0which provides members powers to call for an emergency meeting<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Medvedev, Russia\u2019s deputy chair of the Security Council and an in depth associate of president Vladmir Putin, took to X to post: \u2018Residents of EU countries. It is best to realise your authorities have unilaterally entered right into a war with Russia. <\/p>\n

Medvedev, who can be a former president of Russia, isn’t any stranger to sabre rattling. <\/p>\n

In October, he said Europeans should \u2018crap themselves with fear\u2019 over quite a few drone sightings above the continent. <\/p>\n

In May 2023, he said British officials were now legitimate war targets after the then foreign secretary James Cleverly backed Ukraine\u2019s right to strike Russia. <\/p>\n

And months earlier, he warned there can be nuclear war if Russia loses the conflict. <\/p>\n

Prime Minister Keir Starmer branded the incident in Romania as a \u2018serious violation of Nato airspace\u2019. <\/p>\n

Nato chief Mark Rutte said: \u2018Last night showed yet again that the implications of their illegal war of aggression don\u2019t stop on the border.<\/p>\n

\u2018Nato stands able to defend every inch of allied territory.<\/p>\n

\u2018Russia\u2019s reckless behaviour is a danger to us all.\u2019<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not the primary time a Nato member has had its airspace violated by Russia. <\/p>\n

In September last 12 months, dozens of drones entered Polish airspace, triggering Nato and the Polish Air Force to scramble fighter jets.\u00a0<\/p>\n
