Viral footage has recorded the moment a pregnant woman is thrown to the ground by a police officer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The video captures a tense exchange between several law enforcement officials and what appears to be a person and a heavily pregnant woman.<\/p>\n

Firstly of the clip, officers stand gathered in a corridor while a girl stands a brief distance away with a person.<\/p>\n

One officer approaches the lady and speaks to her.<\/p>\n

Seconds later, one other officer, carrying a baton and with a German Shepherd dog on a lead, walks directly towards the lady.<\/p>\n

He then appears to grab her by the arm and pull her forwards before forcefully throwing her to the ground in the course of the corridor.<\/p>\n

The officer who was recorded apparently throwing the lady later got into an altercation with a person she was standing near (Picture: Social Media)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A person, understood to know the lady, then rushes forward and tries to punch the officer with the dog.<\/p>\n

The officer strikes back before several other officers quickly move in and a melee breaks out.<\/p>\n

A later clip appears to indicate the lady looking dazed as two officers drag her along the ground further down the corridor while people nearby watch on.<\/p>\n

At the identical time, three other officers will be seen restraining the person on the bottom because the confrontation continues around them.<\/p>\n

It is known the incident took place at a centre for asylum seekers in Zeist, a town near Amsterdam within the Netherlands.<\/p>\n

Some online reports claim that officers were responding to reports of vandalism and threats involving a knife on the centre.<\/p>\n

During their enquiries, they got here into contact with a 30-year-old Palestinian man who’s reportedly facing deportation proceedings and had been subject to an entry ban.<\/p>\n

It’s reported that he’s the person within the video who tried to punch the officer and that the pregnant woman was his wife.<\/p>\n

The girl told local media outlets that the altercation took place after she spoke to police on the detention centre where her husband was being detained.<\/p>\n

He was later arrested, in response to reports.<\/p>\n
