The franchise has opted against organising the celebrations to avoid any untoward incidents much like last 12 months’s tragic stampede, which claimed several lives.

Led by Rajat Patidar, RCB successfully retained their crown with a five-wicket victory over the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the ultimate at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on May 31. Because of this, fans in Bengaluru will miss the prospect to have fun the triumph alongside the team.

In keeping with a Sportstar report, RCB’s decision was influenced by town’s already packed schedule, with large crowds expected for DK Shivakumar’s swearing-in ceremony because the state’s recent chief minister, making crowd management a serious concern.

“The function is scheduled to be held at Lok Bhavan at 4.10 p.m. and the Governor’s residence is in close proximity to the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The political function is predicted to draw an enormous crowd from across the State,” the report mentions.

“It is very unlikely that there will likely be any activities in Bengaluru. There are particular guidelines in place, and we’d like to follow them,” a RCB source indicated to PTI.

With town’s police force expected to be heavily engaged in security arrangements for the high-profile political ceremony, there is proscribed scope for RCB to organise large-scale celebrations while ensuring public safety and avoiding a repeat of last 12 months’s unlucky incident.

Following RCB’s title triumph, local authorities also appealed to supporters to avoid gathering on streets for grand celebrations and as a substitute mark the occasion indoors. Moreover, the tight international cricket calendar presents one other challenge.

With only a transient gap between the top of the IPL and the beginning of several international assignments, player availability stays uncertain. India are set to tackle Afghanistan in a one-off Test in Mullanpur from June 6, while players from Australia and Latest Zealand will soon join their respective national squads for upcoming tours.

RCB Captain Rajat Patidar Pays Tribute to Fans Lost in Last 12 months’s Stampede

Following RCB’s successful IPL 2026 campaign, captain Rajat Patidar paid tribute to the 11 fans who died in a stampede near the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium through the celebrations of the franchise’s first-ever IPL title win last 12 months, dedicating the most recent trophy to their memory.

“We dedicate this trophy to our fans, actually not fans, members of the family, who passed away within the tragedy last 12 months,” Rajat Patidar said through the post-match presenation (via India Today).

Get the most recent cricket news here, like us on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter and Instagram for more such updates.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), champions of IPL 2026, have decided not to carry a victory parade in Bengaluru following their title-winning campaign.
