TV actress Shilpa Shinde has found herself on the centre of fresh controversy after her recent remarks concerning the long-running Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain! dispute. Days after the actress admitted that the s*xual harassment allegations she had levelled against the show\u2019s producer were false, a men\u2019s rights organisation publicly demanded motion against her. The event has reignited discussions across the decade-old controversy that led to Shilpa\u2019s exit from the favored serial.<\/p>\n

Men\u2019s Rights NGO Demands Motion Against Shilpa Shinde<\/h2>\n

The newest response got here from NCMIndia Council for Men Affairs, a Delhi-based non-profit organisation that advocates for men\u2019s rights and gender equality. The demand quickly sparked debate online. Several social media users also criticised the actress and expressed anger over her admission. \u201cThis selfish woman destroyed a person\u2019s life, and now she\u2019s shedding crocodile tears. Absolutely shameless. If she isn\u2019t arrested, it’ll be an enormous shame on her,\u201d<\/em> one user wrote. One other commented, \u201cShe must be attested and thrown in jail.\u201d<\/em> A 3rd user suggested, \u201cThat producer should file a defamation case against her and seek compensation.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

What Did Shilpa Shinde Say<\/h2>\n

The controversy stems from comments Shilpa made during her recent appearance on Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa\u2019s podcast. In the course of the conversation, she revisited her highly publicised fallout with the makers of Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain! and admitted that the sexual harassment grievance she filed against producer Sanjay Kohli was not based on true allegations.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one knows this. I\u2019m not afraid of telling the reality now, and I\u2019ll still say it since it\u2019s a giant revelation. I had filed a sexual harassment case against my producer because I had no other option. Eventually, I got here out of that situation after reaching a settlement. At the moment, no producer supported him, and I filed the case on that basis,\u201d<\/em> she said.<\/p>\n

She further added, \u201cThe police directly let you know that when you want an FIR registered, you’ve to put in writing serious allegations. I come from a law background.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

About The Controversy<\/h3>\n

Shilpa\u2019s dispute with the makers of Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain! Dates back to 2016. On the time, the actress quit the show while portraying the hugely popular character Angoori Bhabhi. Following her exit, she accused the makers of mental harassment and objected to an exclusivity clause that allegedly restricted her from taking on other projects. She also claimed that the production house owed her payments and treated artists unfairly.<\/p>\n

Then again, the show\u2019s producers denied the allegations and accused the actress of breaching her contract. The dispute eventually escalated right into a legal battle and have become considered one of television\u2019s most talked-about controversies.<\/p>\n

In her recent podcast appearance, Shilpa also revealed that the matter eventually reached a settlement and that she later received her pending dues. She further stated that her relationship with the makers is cordial today and that they’ve worked together again after several years.<\/p>\n

Most recently, she returned to Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain!, marking an unexpected reunion with the show that when stood on the centre of considered one of the largest controversies of her profession.<\/p>\n
