While Zack Ryder didn\u2019t return to WWE, Matt Cardona did. This move was praised, but he hasn\u2019t done much since then. Now, in a recent interview with Metro<\/em><\/a>, he claimed that he\u2019d wish to kill off the Ryder character. He said,<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are able to finally do some Matt versus Zack, some dream matches. And we are able to finally kill off Zack Ryder once and for all. Zack Ryder, that\u2019s the rationale I used to be capable of be Matt Cardona on the independents and thrive. Zack Ryder needed to die for Matt Cardona to live.\u201d <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I\u2019m back now, right? I wouldn\u2019t be here if it weren\u2019t for every thing I did as Zack Ryder, then every thing I did on the independents as Matt Cardona. It\u2019s all me at the top. The Kane wheelchair era was not the very best for me. But I bounced back. I didn\u2019t quit. There have been times in my profession where I used to be down, and that was actually one in every of the times.\u201d <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t come back to WWE to only be a man in WWE. Been there, done that. Possibly after WrestleMania, I gotta be slightly more, I don\u2019t wish to use the word selfish, but possibly the Matt Cardona from the indies, that aggression possibly, needs to return out a bit more.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Cardona also recalled getting called as much as the essential roster. He said,<\/p>\n

\u201cOnce I first got called as much as the essential roster, I used to be so young. \u2018I used to be so afraid, where I didn\u2019t wish to \u2013 it was a distinct era back then. You almost pretended you weren\u2019t a fan. I\u2019m wrestling guys like Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair and Undertaker, and also you\u2019re pretending you\u2019re not a fan. It\u2019s just strictly business. There\u2019s no way I could have walked to the locker room in 2008 with a Shawn Michaels figure and had him sign it.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
