He added: \u201cthat\u2019s the way it goes sometimes\u2026 we\u2019re still obviously completely happy to be here with this group\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Marco D\u2019Amico<\/strong><\/a>: Laine, when asked if he was asked by the Canadiens to waive his no-trade clause during this past season: \u201cThat\u2019s why I even have an agent. But I don\u2019t think I used to be ever asked, no.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stu Cowan<\/a><\/strong>: Laine confirmed that at the top of the season, he wasn\u2019t injured.<\/p>\n

Pierre LeBrun<\/strong><\/a>: With Laine staying on the IR, and being a UFA, he’s now eligible to sign a bonus-laden contract for next season. Having a lower base salary next 12 months could also be appealing to some teams.<\/p>\n

Vladimir Tarasenko would love to stay with the Minnesota Wild, but he\u2019s not a priority and there will not be room<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Joe Smith of The Athletic<\/strong><\/a>: Vladimir Tarasenko<\/a> looked as if it would welcome with the ability to help mentor Minnesota Wild\u2019s 22-year-old rookie Danila Yurov<\/a> this past season. The 34-year-old Tarasenko had a little bit of bounce back 12 months and potted 23 goals.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s a pending UFA and slot in nicely with the Wild, on and off the ice. Tarasenko and his family are hoping to have the option to stay. His two-year deal carried a $4.75 million cap hit, and if he were to be brought back, it will should be at a reduced number.<\/p>\n

Tarasenko shares the identical agent as Kirill Kaprizov<\/a>, Paul Theofanous, and the Wild likely won\u2019t be concerned about playing hardball with him again. Mats Zuccarello<\/a> and Michael McCarron<\/a> will take priority over Tarasenko. The Wild might look to re-sign Marcus Johansson<\/a> to a one or two-year contract at between $1 and $2 million over Tarasenko.<\/p>\n
