4 RFA defensemen that may interest the Pittsburgh Penguins<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Dan Kingerski of Pittsburgh Hockey Now<\/a><\/strong>: Pittsburgh Penguins GM Kyle Dubas is in search of young players of their early to mid-20s that may play immediately and be an element of their future. There are some RFA defensemen that could be made available, and the Penguins should have a look.<\/p>\n

Simon Nemec<\/a> \u2013 Recent Jersey Devils \u2013 RHD \u2013 Could use a change of scenary. Would likely coach a first-round pick and an assit, or a hockey trade of equal value. The Devils could search for a veteran player as they’re in search of immediate help. It might not make immediate sense for the Penguins given their right side in the mean time.<\/p>\n

Pavel Mintyukov<\/a> \u2013 Anaheim Geese \u2013 LHD \u2013 Offensive numbers weren\u2019t there his 12 months. Cap space just isn’t a problem for the Geese, but they aren\u2019t a cap team. Is he value a first-round pick?<\/p>\n

Michael Kesselring<\/a> \u2013 Buffalo Sabres \u2013 RHD \u2013 A giant defenseman at 6 foot 5 who can skate. Not much offense though.<\/p>\n

Olen Zellweger<\/a> \u2013 Anaheim Geese \u2013 LHD \u2013 A reclamation project that may very well be a steal. Wouldn\u2019t cost near a first-round pick.<\/p>\n

Seattle Kraken \u2013 Have cap space and a necessity. A Shane Wright<\/a> for Nemec deal?<\/p>\n

Toronto Maple Leafs \u2013 Would Matthew Knies<\/a> be available? They don\u2019t have any younger, right-handed defensemen.<\/p>\n

Vancouver Canucks \u2013 Could use one other young defenseman. Liam Ohgren<\/a> may very well be a part of the return.<\/p>\n
