Quentin Tarantino<\/strong> has gone full scorched earth on the movies coming out of Hollywood post-pandemic, branding the industry a \u201cflavorless sausage factory.\u201d<\/p>\n

The maverick filmmaker said he has not likely seen any recent film that has tickled his fancy, aside from a Netflix thriller starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.<\/p>\n

Tarantino has also been involved in a heated back-and-forth with a few of his industry peers, including Rosanna Arquette and Paul Dano, calling the latter the \u201cweakest f-cking actor in SAG.\u201d<\/p>\n

Quentin Tarantino has blasted modern Hollywood as a \u201cflavorless sausage factory,\u201d arguing that audience pandering, miscasting, and weak storytelling are hurting contemporary movies.<\/p>\n

Tarantino has never been one to mince words, but his latest critique of the film industry appears to be one among his most scathing yet.<\/p>\n

Writing for Sight & Sound<\/a> magazine, the Oscar-winning director took a swipe at the present state of movies coming out of the industry, describing modern Hollywood as a \u201cflavorless sausage factory.\u201d<\/p>\n

Given his experience directing hit classics like \u201cPulp Fiction\u201d and \u201cOnce Upon A Time In Hollywood,\u201d Tarantino revealed that \u201cit\u2019s almost inconceivable\u201d for him to see any latest movie and never pick it \u201cto death.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFlaws, implausibilities, audience pandering, miscast performers, or simply plain silly sh-t often torpedoes every latest movie coming out of the flavorless sausage factory that used to call itself Hollywood,\u201d the director lamented.<\/p>\n

In his writing, Tarantino also claimed that the flicks coming out lately fail to maneuver him within the least, before noting that they can not be in comparison with the motion pictures of the \u201980s.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, the whole concept of what’s a movie is more inclined to encourage contempt in me than generosity. Which is fair enough, because by comparison the flicks of the last six years make the 80s seem to be the 30s,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Nonetheless, the director identified that some movies have managed to face out for him, though given the poor quality of nearly all of modern releases, he would now \u201cfairly read a book.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve seen movies I liked since then \u2013 \u2018West Side Story\u2019 (2021); \u2018Horizon: An American Saga\u2019 Chapter 1 and a couple of (each 2024), just a few others, but nothing that actually held me in its grip and swept me away to the magical land of enjoyment that I exploit to go to recurrently and was the rationale I loved movies above all other artforms. Today, I\u2019d fairly read a book,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
