Ukraine early today staged a large attack on Russia hours after Vladimir Putin snubbed Volodymyr Zelensky\u2019s call for face-to-face talks to finish the war.<\/p>\n

The Kremlin dictator, 73, accused his adversary of \u2018rudeness\u2019 in alluding to his \u2018old age\u2019 in an open letter.<\/p>\n

Zelensky had also warned Putin of the chance of a coup to oust him if he fails to halt the war as a consequence of rising dissent in his ruling circle.<\/p>\n

But Putin \u2014 speaking on the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum \u2014 bluntly refused talks and\u00a0\u00a0as a substitute issued a Stalin-style rallying call to his troops currently losing ground within the conflict.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018We should always not address the creator of this letter [Volodymyr Zelensky]\u2026.but fairly our soldiers on the contact line.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018The entire country is watching you; the entire country is pleased with you and hoping for you. Work, brothers,\u2019 he told them.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Putin regime has been forced to ban the transport of youngsters and civilian cars on the this P-280 route and the P-150 Highway.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A rerouting of planes in southern Russia added to the chaos for tourists in search of to achieve and leave the Crimean peninsula.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ukrainian drones also hit the\u00a0\u00a0Research Institute of Marine Thermal Engineering in St. Petersburg, say reports.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ukraine said overnight it downed 249 of 272 drones sent by Russia.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Zelensky\u2019s plea to Putin to carry talks to finish the war was seen as aimed more at figures in his circle growing bored with the conflict than the implacable dictator.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Intelligence suggests powerbrokers near Putin could in time pressure him to have interaction in negotiations to freeze the conflict.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Because the Ukrainian strikes were launched, Zelensky, 48, said of Putin\u2019s refusal to speak: \u2018Unfortunately, the Russian side is again selecting war \u2013 everyone heard today\u2019s response.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018A weak response. He just doesn\u2019t wish to end the war.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018I believe many on the planet were upset by this response.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018He doesn\u2019t want to alter anything and doesn\u2019t wish to admit that his war is just pleasing to him and people who are being profitable from it \u2013 they were all very [much] smiling today.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018So, there needs to be less money in Russia and more pressure on Russia.\u2019<\/p>\n
