A unadorned tourist who attempted to shadowbox police in Ibiza was beaten up by officers<\/p>\n

The English-speaking tourist was detained by police in Ibiza after a chaotic confrontation on a beach promenade in front of stunned holidaymakers on Thursday in San Antonio, one in every of Ibiza\u2019s popular tourist resorts.<\/p>\n

The person, who was reportedly exercising without clothes on the seafront, attracted the eye of members of the general public who alerted authorities. When officers arrived, the situation quickly escalated.<\/p>\n

Video footage from the scene appears to indicate police striking the person with batons after he allegedly shouted insults in English and challenged officers to a fight while naked.<\/p>\n

Throughout the incident, he may be seen moving across the sand on his hands and knees as he attempts to evade officers.<\/p>\n

One British tourist was heard saying \u2018oh my God\u2019 while watching officers overpower the person. One other bystander could possibly be heard shouting: \u2018Hit him, hit that d***head hard\u2019, The Sun <\/a>reported.<\/p>\n

Whereas one other onlooker is reported to have said: \u2018Hit him, hit that d***head hard.\u2019<\/p>\n

the person repeatedly shouted at officers once they arrived and swore at them as they approached him.<\/p>\n

Authorities got here to the scene after receiving quite a few complaints from concerned members of the general public over a brief time period.<\/p>\n

It was reported that onlookers thought the person was drunk \u2018disturbed and quite agitated, possibly attributable to the consumption of medicine\u2019.<\/p>\n

The person was taken to Can Misses Hospital, the important public hospital in Ibiza Town. <\/p>\n

Police haven’t yet confirmed if he’ll face charges or what his nationality is.<\/p>\n

The incident comes only days after one other disturbance in San Antonio involving two tourists who were filmed fighting late at night.<\/p>\n

Footage showed the pair rolling around on the bottom and exchanging blows, leaving blood stains on a big public art mural beneath them.<\/p>\n

An attempt by a bystander to interrupt up the fight failed when one other individual unexpectedly joined the fray and punched the peacemaker, allowing the confrontation to proceed.<\/p>\n

The footage surfaced as local officials announced plans to extend police numbers across San Antonio in the course of the busy summer season.<\/p>\n
