GUNTHER has spoken about his emotions heading into his match with John Cena and the way he was looking forward to breaking the hearts of WWE fans.<\/p>\n

The previous WWE World Heavyweight Champion has spoken about the honour of retiring the likes of Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles, explaining on “The Wealthy Eisen Show’s” “No-Contest Wrestling<\/a>” podcast that his goal was to guard the business.<\/p>\n

“I knew, for me, that might be career-changing opportunities, and yeah, I do not try this to be liked,” he began. “I’m here to do my thing, to meet this responsibility because the one which protects this business, the one that also honors traditions, and be the one that also executes the craft the way in which it must be executed and achieve success with it.”<\/p>\n

GUNTHER, while stating that he wanted to only do his job within the ring when facing the likes of Cena, said that the atmosphere was a bit different for Cena’s final match at Saturday Night’s Important Event. The magnitude of the night made it feel much more vital than WrestleMania, and while fans were emotional, GUNTHER took satisfaction in knowing that he would break their night.<\/p>\n

“I got to say that with Cena, it was quite hard to catch myself in the course of that because that night every thing felt so vital, felt so heavy,” he said. “Cody observing them [Cena’s shoes in the ring] and squeezing out one other tear. ‘Oh, it meant a lot.’ And that was the sensation the entire night. It felt so \u2014 it almost felt like more pressure than WrestleMania. And I used to be just in the course of all of that, not fazed, the emotional stone that I’m, and I used to be just observing all of that and just knowing, like, ‘Tonight I’m gonna break all your people’s nights.’ Yeah, it was perhaps probably the most rewarding feeling I had in my profession.”<\/p>\n

He stated that he enjoys frightening fans and making them dislike him much more, which he feels was something he could do easily through his matches against the aforementioned legends.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
