British singer-songwriter Talay Riley<\/strong>, who wrote songs for artists including Dua Lipa<\/strong>, Britney Spears<\/strong> and Zendaya<\/strong>, was stabbed to death in London on Friday, June 5, the Metropolitan Police said<\/a>. He was 35.<\/p>\n

Police were called early Friday to an address in Silvertown, east London, to take care of a suspected stabbing.<\/p>\n

Riley, whose real name was Mark Orabiyi, was pronounced dead on the scene.<\/p>\n

A second man was taken to the hospital with multiple stab wounds, the Met Police said.<\/p>\n

Three suspects \u2014 two men aged 27 and 24 and a 25-year-old woman \u2014 were arrested on suspicion of murder, the department said. The 27-year-old man was released on bail pending further investigation. The opposite two people detained were released with no further motion.<\/p>\n

\u201cMark was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. He brought love, light and joy to our family and to all who knew him,\u201d Riley\u2019s family said<\/a> in a press release.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are going to at all times cherish his kindness, beautiful spirit and memorable talent. His presence touched many lives, and his memory will remain in our hearts eternally,\u201d the family added. \u201cMay his soul rest in perfect peace.\u201d<\/p>\n

Riley\u2019s songwriting credits include Zendaya\u2019s \u201cClose Up,\u201d Dua Lipa\u2019s \u201cLast Dance\u201d and Spears\u2019 \u201cClumsy.\u201d He has also written for the likes of U.K. rapper Stormzy<\/strong>, Craig David<\/strong>, Chris Brown<\/strong>, Khalid<\/strong> and more.<\/p>\n

He had one among the purest hearts I\u2019ve ever known. He loved deeply, gave freely, and touched countless people through his talent, kindness, and spirit.\u201d<\/p>\n
