Marks & Spencer (M&S) is about to resume operations within the Philippines later this yr with a brand new franchise partner Indonesian retail group PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAP).<\/p>\n
In a press release, the British retailer said MAP will take over M&S operations within the Philippines and relaunch the brand later this yr with the opening of its first store at Glorietta.<\/p>\n
The relaunch will feature M&S Fashion, Home & Beauty, and Food ranges.<\/p>\n
This comes after the SSI Group Inc closed all M&S stores within the Philippines last May 2.<\/p>\n
M&S said it has an over 26-year relationship with MAP in Indonesia and Vietnam.<\/p>\n
M&S International Managing Director Mark Lemming said the partnership builds on MAP\u2019s proven track record in supporting the brand\u2019s regional growth.<\/p>\n

MAP Fashion Chief Executive Officer Sameer Prasad described the Philippines as a \u201cfast-growing market\u201d and said the corporate goals to strengthen the brand\u2019s footprint while enhancing the retail experience for Filipino customers.<\/p>\n
