MAGNO<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Marks &#038; Spencer (M&#038;S) is about to resume operations within the Philippines later this yr with a brand new franchise partner Indonesian retail group PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAP).<\/p>\n<p>In a press release, the British retailer said MAP will take over M&#038;S operations within the Philippines and relaunch the brand later this yr with the opening of its first store at Glorietta.<\/p>\n<p>The relaunch will feature M&#038;S Fashion, Home &#038; Beauty, and Food ranges.<\/p>\n<p>This comes after the SSI Group Inc closed all M&#038;S stores within the Philippines last May 2.<\/p>\n<p>M&#038;S said it has an over 26-year relationship with MAP in Indonesia and Vietnam.<\/p>\n<p>M&#038;S International Managing Director Mark Lemming said the partnership builds on MAP\u2019s proven track record in supporting the brand\u2019s regional growth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe&#8217;re delighted to expand our partnership with MAP into the Philippines. Having played a pivotal role in driving our growth in Indonesia, MAP\u2019s deep local expertise gives us confidence as we speed up our growth plans in Southeast Asia. We all know there is powerful demand for the M&#038;S brand within the Philippines, and we\u2019re excited to reopen our stores and online channels later this yr,\u201d Mr. Lemming said in a press release.<\/p>\n<p>MAP Fashion Chief Executive Officer Sameer Prasad described the Philippines as a \u201cfast-growing market\u201d and said the corporate goals to strengthen the brand\u2019s footprint while enhancing the retail experience for Filipino customers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTaking up the M&#038;S business within the Philippines marks a crucial milestone for MAP Fashion and reflects our commitment to growing iconic global brands across Southeast Asia,\u201d Mr. Prasad said.<\/p>\n<p>MAP operates greater than 150 international brands in its portfolio, including Zara, Sephora, Foot Locker, Starbucks, Subway, and M&#038;S.<\/p>\n<p>As of March 2026, the corporate had greater than 4,000 stores in over 80 cities across Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>M&#038;S is a British retailer operating across food, clothing, home, and wonder categories through a network of stores, franchise partners, and e-commerce platforms in multiple markets.<\/p>\n<p>The brand has been present within the Philippines since 1984.
