The US is investigating whether Iran shot down an Apache helicopter with two pilots on board after it crashed near the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n

Donald Trump vowed to deliver \u2018total victory\u2019 inside days and said the crew members on board were \u2018effective\u2019 after the mysterious crash.<\/p>\n

Chatting with journalists after watching the NBA Finals on Monday night, Trump said: \u2018We’re going to issue a report tomorrow. However the pilots are effective.\u2019<\/p>\n

The crash happened while the helicopter was on a patrol off the coast of Oman at about 3.30am local time on Tuesday, the US military\u2019s Central Command said in a later statement.<\/p>\n

The Strait of Hormuz stays blocked but could reopen with \u2018transit fees\u2019, an Iranian envoy to Moscow has claimed.<\/p>\n
