In-person interviews starting this week for the Toronto Maple Leafs<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Pierre LeBrun<\/strong><\/a>: The Toronto Maple Leafs will start their in-person coaching interviews this week in phase two. It\u2019s believed that they’re all the way down to about five candidates.<\/p>\n

@Nylanderthews<\/strong><\/a>: LeBrun said on TSN Overdrive that Joe Pavelski<\/a> and Patrick Roy<\/a> are a part of the five candidates for the Maple Leafs coaching position.<\/p>\n

LeBrun believes that Jay Woodcroft remains to be a part of the method; he can\u2019t 100% confirm it.<\/p>\n

Can the Vancouver Canucks and Montreal Canadiens swing a Brendan Gallagher deal?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Fourth Period<\/strong><\/a>: The Montreal Canadiens need to move forward Brendan Gallagher<\/a>, and he wouldn\u2019t mind playing for the Vancouver Canucks. There’s some interest on the Canucks side of things.<\/p>\n

Gallagher has a yr left on his contract at a $6.5 million cap but a $4 million salary. Agent, Gerry Johansson, was on the Donnie and Dhali Show on Monday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe initially they expressed interest, but they’ve moving parts, too,\u201d Johansson said. \u201cIt\u2019s on their desk, and I do think they do have interest. It\u2019s only a matter if it will possibly work or not. Until it\u2019s done, it\u2019s never done.\u201d<\/p>\n

Just a few musings concerning the Minnesota Wild<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Joe Smith and Michael Russo of The Athletic<\/strong><\/a>: If he\u2019s not traded, can see Charlie Stramel getting an excellent have a look at training camp. He had an ankle injury at the tip of the season that didn\u2019t allow him any pro games. Don\u2019t think he\u2019s a future No. 1 center, but might be a middle-six guy.<\/p>\n

Joel Eriksson shall be asked about if the Minnesota Wild are going after a No. 1 center. Russo assumes Kirill Kaprizov<\/a> and Matt Boldy<\/a> aren\u2019t going anywhere. If taking a look at Detroit Red Wings Dylan Larkin<\/a>, they\u2019re likely offering Danil Yurov, Stramel, a first-round pick, and sure a lesser player like a Ryan Hartman<\/a> or Yakov Trenin<\/a> if adding a forward, or a Jonas Brodin<\/a> or Jake Middleton if it\u2019s a defenseman. Middleton has a no-movement clause until July 1st.<\/p>\n

The Wild needs to be seeking to add some youth and speed into their bottom six. GM Bill Guerin<\/a> has said they\u2019d have to out play a veteran to get a spot.<\/p>\n

Dylan Larkin Desires to Go to Three Teams<\/a><\/p>\n

Smith expects coach Jon Hynes to get a contract extension this offseason. Expect RFA forward Bobby Brink<\/a> to sign a bridge deal.<\/p>\n
