Billy Bob Thornton<\/strong> weighed in on Sam Elliott<\/strong> playing his dad on Landman<\/em> \u2014 despite them only being 11 years apart in age.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s gone on since movies began,\u201d Thornton, 70, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> while attending the Newport Beach TV Fest sponsored by Visit Newport Beach on Saturday, June 6.<\/p>\n

The actor recalled similar experiences on other projects, adding, \u201cKathy Bates played my mom in Bad Santa too and he or she is nine years older. It\u2019s acting, it\u2019s a movie.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thornton continued: \u201cLet\u2019s say that it\u2019s not within the newspapers or Wikipedia \u2014 how old anybody is \u2014 then no person would say a word.\u201d<\/p>\n
