Throughout the pace laps, Tom drove within the front row as the opposite drivers formed NASCAR\u2019s \u201cmissing man\u201d formation behind him. After, they peeled off, leaving Tom to himself for yet another lap in his son\u2019s honor.<\/p>\n<p>So as to add slightly extra intending to the touching moment, Kyle\u2019s son, Brexton, an aspiring driver himself, waved the green flag after which the checkered flag as Tom finished his lap.<\/p>\n<p>Kyle died on May 21 at age 41 after being found unresponsive in a racing simulator. A death certificate exclusively obtained by <em>Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed his family\u2019s statement, which said he was affected by pneumonia, which progressed to sepsis.<\/p>\n<div class=\"link-related article link-related__with-thumb\">\n<figure class=\"article__figure\">\n<div style=\"padding-bottom:56.25%;\" class=\"ratio-based-placeholder\"><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<div class=\"article__content\">\n<h3 class=\"article__title\">\n<p>    <span class=\"related-badge\">Related: <\/span><span class=\"related-title\">Kyle Busch&#8217;s Son Brexton Returns to Social Media After His Father&#8217;s Death<\/span><br \/>\n\t\t<\/h3>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\n\t\t\tBrexton Busch, the 11-year-old son of late NASCAR driver Kyle Busch, returned to social media for the primary time since his father\u2019s shocking death last month.\u00a0 Brexton shared a series of photos from Charlotte Motor Speedway via Instagram on Monday, June 8, showing the young motorsports phenom in his neon green No. 18.\u00a0 \u201cOhhh how [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The day before Tom\u2019s tribute, Brexton, 11, placed sixth in his race on the CookOut Summer Shootout, his first event since his father\u2019s death. (Kyle can be survived by his wife, <strong>Samantha<\/strong>, 40, and daughter Lennix, 4.)<\/p>\n<p>As tributes proceed to pour in for Kyle, even weeks after his death, his brother also broke his silence with a heartfelt note via Instagram on Monday, June 8.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThanks from the underside of my heart,\u201d <strong>Kurt Busch <\/strong>wrote. \u201cThanks, everyone, for the well wishes, support, and love for my brother and our family. Finding a silver lining, I reflect back on the times Kyle and I raced anything we could get our hands on. From big wheels to competing on the most important stages in motorsports, we were greater than just fierce competitors. We pushed one another, challenged one another, and learned from one another.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued, \u201cKyle, your passion, determination, and love to your family inspired everyone who knew you. No trophy, championship, or accomplishment could ever measure the impact you had on my life and on so many others. I&#8217;ll ceaselessly be glad about the memories we made, the teachings you taught me, and the brotherhood we shared.
