Thailand\u2019s Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati has died aged 47 after spending greater than three years in a coma.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The eldest child of King Maha Vajiralongkorn was airlifted to hospital after collapsing while exercising her dogsa in December 2022.<\/p>\n

Her sudden lack of consciousness was attributed to a heart condition.<\/p>\n

She died on Thursday evening after her condition deteriorated resulting from a mix of health problems.<\/p>\n

\u2018The medical team provided the closest and most intensive care possible, but her condition continued to say no progressively,\u2019 the royal household said.<\/p>\n

Bajrakitiyabha, popularly generally known as Princess Pa, was born on December 7, 1978, to the \u200bthen Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn and his first wife, Princess Soamsawali.<\/p>\n

In Thailand, she will probably be remembered for her outstanding role in public life, her efforts to enhance the livelihoods of female prisoners, and her \u200bdiplomatic profession.<\/p>\n

She studied law at Cornell University, obtaining a Master\u2019s degree and a \u200bDoctorate, and worked as an attorney within the Thai Office of the Attorney-General between 2006 and 2011.<\/p>\n

From \u200c2012 \u2060to 2014, she was Thailand\u2019s ambassador to Austria, Slovenia and Slovakia, before returning to the attorney-general\u2019s office in Bangkok.<\/p>\n

She also founded a charity promoting the rights of female inmates, particularly those that were pregnant while in jail.<\/p>\n

In 2017, Bajrakitiyabha was appointed as \u200bthe goodwill ambassador for \u200bthe rule of \u2060law in Southeast Asia by the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.<\/p>\n

She transferred to the military in 2021, where \u200bshe was bestowed the rank of a general and served \u200bas a \u2060chief of staff within the Royal Security Command.<\/p>\n

The princess was one among King Vajiralongkorn\u2019s three children who’ve formal titles and are eligible to take the throne under the structure.<\/p>\n

In \u2060October \u200blast yr, Thailand\u2019s Queen Mother passed\u00a0away\u00a0at 93.<\/p>\n

The palace \u200bwill hold royal funeral rites, while the federal government is anticipated to declare a period of national mourning.<\/p>\n
