Three and a half years after joining the Boston Bruins’ AHL affiliate, undrafted goalie Brandon Bussi made his NHL debut for the Carolina Hurricanes last October. He made his first Stanley Cup Playoffs start on Tuesday, which just so happened to be Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final. Despite wobbling at times, this 27-year-old underdog did enough to assist his team tie the series. Two days later, he did enough to propel the Canes to the precipice of NHL immortality.<\/p>\n

Bussi surrendered just two goals on 25 shots against in a 4-2 win over the Vegas Golden Knights, adding to his temporary yet incredibly impressive postseason mythology.
