Alana Haim<\/strong> is a proud Valley girl \u2014 but that didn\u2019t stop her from creating custom gear to support the Recent York Knicks while sitting courtside on the 2026 NBA Finals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The musician and actress \u2014 who was born and raised in Los Angeles along along with her sisters and bandmates, Danielle<\/strong> and Este Haim<\/strong> \u2014 partied with friend Taylor Swift<\/strong> at Game 4 of the finals on Wednesday, June 10, which didn\u2019t sit well with some critics who called them out for jumping on the Knicks bandwagon.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m from L.A., and I like the Lakers, but I also love the Knicks,\u201d Alana, 34, told Vogue<\/i><\/a> in a story published on Thursday, June 11. \u201cIt\u2019s just such an incredible season for them, and it was such an honor to root for them. That was, I believe, possibly the best basketball game ever played, and I\u2019m hoping they bring about home the championship, because they\u2019re such an incredible team.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The Knicks erased a 29-point deficit, the most important in NBA Finals history, and defeated the San Antonio Spurs 107-106 in Game 4, putting the franchise one win away from their first NBA title since 1973.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While most sports fans view the cities of Recent York and Los Angeles as fierce, storied adversaries, Alana doesn\u2019t see it that way.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI believe we will all be friends,\u201d she argued. \u201cThere\u2019s no animosity there.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

At Game 4, Alana, her sisters and Swift, 36, were decked out in custom, pop culture-inspired Knicks shirts that Alana made by hand.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Alana\u2019s read \u201cKnickelback,\u201d while sisters Este and Danielle rocked \u201cKnickole Kidman\u201d and \u201cKnickolas Cage,\u201d respectively, and Swift\u2019s said \u201cStevie Knicks.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIf I\u2019m getting anything out of this experience, it\u2019s that I actually just want people to exit and make shirts,\u201d she told Vogue<\/i>. \u201cIt\u2019s such a fun hobby, and it\u2019s really easy to do. I\u2019m a Sagittarius, so there\u2019s a graveyard of arts and crafts that I\u2019ve done, from needlepoint to bedazzling. I actually just want people to do more arts and crafts!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
