India captain Shubman Gill showcased his excellent fielding skills through the first ODI against Afghanistan in Dharamsala on June 13. Within the rain-shortened 25-over match, Afghanistan were in a robust position at 176\/6 after 21 overs.<\/span><\/p>\n With the visitors trying to rating quickly, debutant Harsh Dubey was brought on to bowl the twenty second over. After being hit for a six on the primary ball, the left-arm spinner bounced back immediately by dismissing the well-set Azmatullah Omarzai on the following delivery.<\/span><\/p>\n Two balls later, Dubey induced an edge from Allah Ghazanfar. Consequently, they couldn\u2019t finish strongly and managed so as to add only 12 more runs before being bowled out for 194 in 24.5 overs.<\/span><\/p>\n Earlier, after winning the toss and selecting to field, India had Afghanistan in trouble at 26\/3 inside five overs. Nevertheless, opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz turned the innings around with a sensational 102 off just 51 balls, smashing eight fours and eight sixes.<\/span><\/p>\n At one stage, Afghanistan were cruising at 142\/3 within the sixteenth over, but Gurbaz\u2019s dismissal triggered a collapse that saw them lose wickets recurrently. For India, debutants Gurnoor Brar and Harsh Dubey starred with the ball, claiming three wickets each. <\/span><\/p>\n Arshdeep Singh and Nitish Kumar Reddy chipped in with two wickets apiece to limit Afghanistan to 194.
