Conor McGregor has told of how he once agreed to a two-fight deal to face Terence Crawford, who backed out despite a ridiculous offer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Irishman has been going back-and-forth with Crawford over the previous couple of days on social media after the boxing star mocked Ilia Topuria for his defeat on the White House. McGregor mocked Crawford for refusing to ever get within the cage, despite having a wrestling background.<\/p>\n

And through an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show last night, McGregor revealed that there was once a proposal on the table for the pair to fight over two bouts. One can be MMA before a boxing rematch and Crawford would have been paid $200 million by boxing supremo Turki Alalshikh.<\/p>\n

After starting the trend of MMA stars moving over to boxing, Conor McGregor has grown exhausted by the one-sided nature of crossover bouts. So when Turki Alalshikh wanted him to face Terence Crawford, he agreed to box once they did a fight within the cage first.<\/p>\n

Crawford was offered an astronomical variety of $200 million for the bouts, but refused attributable to caring about kicks. McGregor told the story on Ariel Helwani\u2019s Show last night in an explosive interview.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got on the phone, \u2018What\u2019s the craic, Terence? It\u2019s the Mac Daddy. I got [Turki] here,\u201d McGregor recalled.\u00a0\u201cWe\u2019ve got an enormous deal for you. It\u2019s lots of of hundreds of thousands, $200 million to be exact. Mixed martial arts against me, and a boxing one against you.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then claimed that Crawford replied: \u201cI don\u2019t wish to be kicked by you. No way.\u201d McGregor then said: \u201cWhatever, that\u2019s advantageous. I don\u2019t understand how as a person, or as a combatant, you couldn\u2019t wish to test yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n
