A British four-year-old boy has reportedly died after falling right into a swimming pool at a vacation home near the Costa del Sol.<\/p>\n

The alarm was raised around 8.30am on Wednesday at a rural property within the village of Periana in Spain\u2019s La Axarquia region, and is roughly 30 miles from Malaga.<\/p>\n

Police and paramedics raced to the property and a helicopter was mobilised as a part of the emergency response.<\/p>\n

Nonetheless, there was nothing they may do to avoid wasting the kid\u2019s life and he was pronounced dead on the scene.<\/p>\n

An investigation has been launched by the Civil Guard into the kid\u2019s death, but sources have claimed there’s nothing at this stage that points to any criminality.<\/p>\n

Local reports have stated that the young boy was the one child of the couple, who’ve been left devastated by their loss.<\/p>\n

One source said the British family only arrived on the farmhouse the day before.<\/p>\n

One other said: \u2018Investigators are still awaiting the outcomes of the post-mortem, but it surely appears to be a tragic accident.\u2019<\/p>\n

Periana Council said in a press release to the boy\u2019s parents: \u2018Today is a deeply sad day for our town. On behalf of Periana Town Council, we would love to increase our deepest condolences to the family and family members of the kid who has passed away.<\/p>\n

\u2018There are not any words that may ease such immense grief, but we do want to convey to you all our love, support and solidarity at this very difficult time.<\/p>\n

\u2018The entire of Periana shares your sadness and stands with you in your grief at such a painful and unjust loss.\u2019<\/p>\n

Mayoress Meritxell Vizueta said she had visited the property with a councillor to comfort the family.<\/p>\n

A spokesman for a regional government-run emergency response centre said: \u2018[A four-year-old] child has died this morning after falling right into a swimming pool at a farmhouse in Periana, within the province of Malaga.<\/p>\n

\u2018At 8.30 am we received a distress call reporting that a toddler had fallen into the pool. The 061 Health Emergency Centre (CES) was quickly alerted and dispatched a medical helicopter, the Civil Guard and the Local Police.<\/p>\n

\u2018Despite the efforts of the emergency services, nothing might be done to avoid wasting the kid\u2019s life. The circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown.\u2019<\/p>\n
