LA Knight stays certainly one of WWE\u2019s hottest stars, but recent comments from former WWE announcer Jonathan Coachman and podcast co-host JD have raised questions on how WWE views The Megastar behind the scenes.<\/p>\n

Speaking on a recent edition of the \u201cBehind The Turnbuckle Studios\u201d podcast, the pair discussed Knight\u2019s current position on WWE television and argued that the previous United States Champion appears to be lacking a transparent direction creatively.<\/p>\n

Much of the conversation centered around Knight\u2019s recent involvement with The Bloodline storyline. JD admitted that he’s struggling to know WWE\u2019s long-term plans and believes Knight\u2019s on-screen frustration could also be rooted in real feelings quite than simply storyline acting. He said,<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like there\u2019s real feelings there from LA Knight, specifically when he speaks his body language. I\u2019m paying close attention to what he does within the ring, how he interacts with each Jimmy and Jey. Coach, you legitimately see a real-life frustration from LA Knight in every part he does and every part he says, which makes the tv higher because he genuinely feels what he says.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

JD went on to query why Knight has been paired with Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso, while also expressing skepticism about where potential rivalries with Jacob Fatu, Jey Uso, or Roman Reigns could ultimately lead. He said,<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what the top goal is with LA Knight. If he wrestles Jacob Fatu, it\u2019s not going to finish well. If he wrestles Jey Uso, it\u2019s not going to finish well, if he wrestles Roman Reigns, which he\u2019s never going to, it\u2019s not going to finish well.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The discussion eventually turned toward Knight\u2019s future. JD suggested that when his WWE contract eventually expires, the veteran star should want to consider leaving the corporate and returning to the independent wrestling scene under his former Eli Drake persona. In JD\u2019s view, Knight could potentially have more success charting his own course quite than serving as a supporting player in a Bloodline-related program.<\/p>\n

Coachman echoed lots of those concerns and took things a step further by speculating that Knight could have backstage heat with WWE management. He said,<\/p>\n

\u201cFor whatever reason, he\u2019s got heat with the office, as we prefer to say, and so they know they should use him. They need him on the mic, but they don\u2019t need to have him recover from. And that is the results of that.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIf I used to be LA Knight, I can be beyond pissed because he\u2019s also 44 years old now and he doesn\u2019t have five or 10 years to get back in the great graces. His time\u2019s over. And also you\u2019re right. He\u2019s got to walk because he could make quite a lot of money in the following two to 3 years.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
