Teddy Long has discussed the dearth of on-screen managers in WWE and the way he could help one current WWE star.<\/p>\n

Long managed several teams and individuals during his time in Jim Crockett Promotions and later became the on-screen General Manager of “WWE SmackDown.” In an interview with TMZ’s “Inside The Ring<\/a>,” the WWE Hall of Famer lamented the dearth of managers in WWE and suggested a return to the role, even proposing a head-to-head rivalry with The Vision’s Paul Heyman.<\/p>\n

“Well, yeah, I actually do [think that we don’t have managers]. You realize, like I said, I believe what we now have now could be what they need to have. That is it. They don’t desire anybody else there. So, that is the way in which I have a look at it. Because there is a story right there, you realize, that is just waiting within the wings, you realize, with me and him [Heyman],” he said. “You realize, because he’s the one guy. He’s screwed up every part. So, why is not there anyone to straighten him out. Someone that the people consider in? And, you realize, like I said, I concentrate to things people try this they haven’t got to do.”<\/p>\n

Later within the interview, the veteran star mentioned a WWE star \u2014 who has, in a way, been related to Heyman \u2014 whom he could manage if he were to return.<\/p>\n

“Man, I believe the child that they simply brought in, they sort of, to me, destroyed him a bit of bit,” he said, referring to Oba Femi. “I believe I could help him because he’s latest.”<\/p>\n

Long, though, added that mentors and managers like him have only limited leeway relating to training and teaching young stars, arguing that WWE management would never give others credit, even when the thought originally got here from them.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
