Joe Rogan was very blissful to listen to that the UFC are taking steps to enhance their gloves again.<\/strong><\/p>\n

While he\u2019s finally been in a position to suggest a return date, Tom Aspinall continues to be recovering from his eye injuries that he suffered last October.<\/p>\n

The heavyweight champion couldn\u2019t proceed after he was poked within the eyes several times during his first defense of the title.<\/p>\n

Instances like this may lead to some UFC rule changes, but many will still point to the gloves themselves being something the promotion needs to deal with.<\/p>\n

Trevor Wittman tells Joe Rogan that Hunter Campbell has reached out about his gloves<\/h2>\n

Despite the UFC implementing latest gloves in 2024, the identical issues with them have continued after the promotion made the choice to revert back to the old model.<\/p>\n

Anyone who has spent a big period of time listening to Joe Rogan discuss MMA on his podcast will know that he believes the reply to this problem lies with Trevor Wittman.<\/p>\n

Wittman recently told Rogan during an appearance on his podcast<\/a> that the UFC\u2019s Hunter Campbell recently reached out to him concerning the gloves that he designed.<\/p>\n

\u201cHunter reached out to me three weeks ago, 4 weeks ago, and said he desired to ignite the conversation again so we\u2019ll see where that goes.\u201d<\/p>\n

The most important difference between Wittman\u2019s gloves and the UFC\u2019s is that they\u2019re curved, meaning the fighter\u2019s hand will probably be naturally in a fist shape somewhat than having fingers prolonged which caused eye pokes.<\/p>\n

Wittman\u2019s gloves have received interest from the UFC prior to now, but they weren\u2019t in a position to make it work.<\/p>\n

While he says that the game\u2019s top promotion worked with him and implemented a few of his ideas, he believes that \u201cThey couldn\u2019t do it to the extent that I can do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wittman brought a pair of his gloves with him to Rogan\u2019s studio and helped the UFC commentator put them on throughout the podcast.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat is so superior to the UFC gloves,\u201d Rogan said when trying them out. \u201cI mean the indisputable fact that this isn\u2019t getting used by the UFC immediately is f\u2014\u2014 criminal.\u201d<\/p>\n

The slapstick comedian added that you simply don\u2019t even need hand wraps with them once he had them fully fastened.<\/p>\n
