Gable Steveson will now not be opening the fundamental card of UFC 329 next month.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Steveson continues to be set to face Elisha Ellison in his highly-anticipated Octagon debut on the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on July 11.<\/p>\n

With a gold medal in wrestling on the 2020 Olympic games under his belt, Steveson has been tipped to realize huge success since he made the transition to MMA.<\/p>\n

While having him open the fundamental card of one in all the most important events of the 12 months made a variety of sense, the UFC has modified their plans.<\/p>\n

King Green vs Terrance McKinney replaces Gable Steveson\u2019s debut as UFC 329 fundamental card opener<\/h2>\n

Before Manel Kape stopped Kyoji Horiguchi within the fundamental event of UFC Vegas 119, the bout order for the UFC 329 fundamental card was updated via the published.<\/p>\n

The most important change from the previously announced line-up for the event that features the return of Conor McGregor is that Gable Steveson\u2019s Octagon debut will now not be opening the fundamental card on July 11.<\/p>\n

As an alternative will probably be the matchup that was reported earlier this month between King Green and Terrance McKinney.<\/p>\n

The 2 lightweights are each known for having among the most fan-friendly styles on the roster, giving the fundamental card a robust probability of opening with a bang.<\/p>\n

As for Steveson, it wasn\u2019t revealed exactly where his fight with Elisha Ellison has been moved to, apart from that it\u2019s now on the prelims.<\/p>\n

It might be surprising if this bout dropped any lower than the featured prelim slot as a result of the hype surrounding the American heavyweight\u2019s debut.<\/p>\n

In March, the UFC brought fights to CBS for the primary time when airing a portion of UFC 326 concurrently on CBS and Paramount+.<\/p>\n

Putting Steveson in one in all those slots would appear to be a complete no-brainer for the promotion.<\/p>\n
