John F. Kennedy<\/strong>\u2018s grandson Jack Schlossberg<\/strong> hoped to proceed his family\u2019s political legacy, but his dream got here up short.<\/p>\n

Schlossberg\u2019s run for office got here to an end on Tuesday, June 23, when he didn’t secure the Democratic nomination in Latest York\u2019s twelfth Congressional District.<\/p>\n

After running his campaign against fellow Democratic candidates including state Assemblyman Micah Lasher<\/strong>, state Assemblyman Alex Bores<\/strong>, lawyer George Conway<\/strong> and public health researcher Nina Schwalbe<\/strong>, Schlossberg, 33, ultimately finished the first in third place. Lasher received probably the most votes and will likely be on the ballot throughout the general election in November.<\/p>\n

Schlossberg, who’s the son of Caroline Kennedy<\/strong> and Edwin Schlossberg<\/strong>, announced his campaign in November 2025. Weeks later, Jack\u2019s sister Tatiana Schlossberg died at age 35 after a battle with leukemia.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJack Schlossberg could be the sole grandson of late President John F. Kennedy but he\u2019s currently blowing up on social media. Jack, 31, is the youngest son of Caroline Kennedy and Edwin Schlossberg. He got on the Web\u2019s radar earlier this yr after he went viral for opening a coconut in May. Jack returned to the campaign trail after mourning his family\u2019s loss.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe last item that she said to me was, \u2018You higher win,\u2019\u201d Jack said of his sister during a March appearance on CBS Sunday Morning.<\/p>\n

Amid his grassroots efforts to get elected, Jack faced obstacles, with The Latest York Times publishing a report in May that referred to his campaign as \u201cchaotic\u201d and \u201cerratic.\u201d The report included allegations that he had high staff turnover and was often absent for long periods of time without explanation.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust hours into his Day 1 launch, the candidate abruptly announced a change of plans, in line with three people acquainted with the events,\u201d the report claimed. \u201cForget dialing for dollars \u2014 Mr. Schlossberg said he needed a nap. He then effectively disappeared for the day, leaving his team reeling.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jack, for his part, directly addressed the claims.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s loads in that article that\u2019s not true, but you already know how this works: When you\u2019re declared the frontrunner and early voting starts in lower than a month, everyone\u2019s got something to say,\u201d he told Inside Politics host Dana Bash on the time.<\/p>\n
