\n\tMatthew Goode is about to return as DCI Carl Morck alongside his rag-tag team of Alexej Manvelov as Akram Salim, Leah Byrne as DC Rose Dickson and Jamie Sives as DS James Hardy. Season 2 will once more be filmed and set in Edinburgh.<\/p>\n
\n\tJoining the forged for Season 2 are Aisling Franciosi (\u201cSpeak No Evil,\u201d \u201cThe Nightingale\u201d) as Kimmie; Greg Clever (\u201cThe Crown,\u201d \u201cThe Buccaneers\u201d) as Derek Powell; Nicholas Rowe (\u201cRed Eye\u201d S2, \u201cSpy Amongst Friends\u201d) as Thomas Fulton; Tony Curran (\u201cOutlander: Blood of My Blood,\u201d \u201cMary and George\u201d) as Winnie Calderwood; Hamish Clark (\u201cMonarch of the Glen\u201d) as Christopher Herron; Alex Ferns (\u201cWaiting for the Out,\u201d \u201cThe Batman\u201d) as Phil Allenbeck; Ross Anderson (\u201cKnight of the Seven Kingdoms,\u201d \u201cThe Rig\u201d) as Ricky Daddario; Rebecca Root (\u201cHeartstopper,\u201d \u201cThe Wheel of Time\u201d) as June Lovesay; Isla Johnston (\u201cThe Queen\u2019s Gambit,\u201d \u201cThe Carpenter\u2019s Son\u201d) as Agnes; and Amy Brenneman (\u201cThe Old Man,\u201d \u201cJudging Amy\u201d) as Helen.<\/p>\n
\n\tOther returning faces from Season 1 include Mark Bonnar as Stephen Burns, Kate Dickie as Moira Jacobson, Aaron McVeigh as Jasper and Sanjeev Kohli as Martin Fleming.<\/p>\n
\n\tWritten and directed by Scott Frank (\u201cThe Queen\u2019s Gambit\u201d) and produced by Left Bank Pictures (\u201cThe Crown\u201d), the show follows Morck as as he \u201cheads up the maverick Dept. Q from the basement of an Edinburgh police station, charged with cases previously deemed unsolvable,\u201d in response to its synopsis. \u201cThis darkly humorous, propulsive show delivers all of the pleasures of a procedural, but takes us into the complex mysteries not only of the cases but of the detectives themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tExecutive producers include Frank, Rob Bullock and Charlotte Moore, with Manda Levin and Jessica Burdett overseeing for Netflix.<\/p>\n
