Paul Heyman is well known by WWE fans as Brock Lesnar\u2019s longtime on-screen advocate, but his responsibilities behind the scenes extend far beyond what viewers see on television.<\/p>\n

During an appearance on the \u201cInsight with Chris Van Vliet\u201d podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer detailed his backstage role, revealing that he works closely with creative, talent relations, and various facets of WWE production while also serving as a resource for talent throughout the corporate.<\/p>\n

Heyman explained that he handles a big amount of behind-the-scenes business for members of \u201cThe Vision,\u201d in addition to Lesnar and others. He said,<\/p>\n

\u201cI handle a number of the behind-the-scenes business for members of the Vision, obviously for Brock Lesnar, and there are others, and more so on Fridays than on Mondays. Because Mondays, I\u2019m on air lots. I sit all the way in which in the proper corner in Gorilla.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cPaul Levesque is up within the position with the headsets on. Bruce Prichard or Ed Koskey or John Beckstrom or Ryan Ward will sit next to Paul. So, of the thousand details per show that Paul has to carry on to, anything that, \u2018Okay, maintain this. Okay, maintain that,\u2019 as he navigates the macro, the micro will fall all the way down to the person next to him.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIn front of them might be Kidman or Jason, who keep the show honest when it comes to time, business breaks. \u2018We’ve to hit this crossover. We’ve to be off the air by this moment.\u2019 And next to them might be the producer of the segment on headsets. To this side might be the author of the segment on headsets. And next to the author is me.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I just sit there and I watch the show, and I\u2019m awaiting things that we’d like to follow up on. \u2018Oh, what? Let\u2019s not follow up anymore on this. Let\u2019s pull that segment coming up in 12 or 13.\u2019 Since it\u2019s mystery because it is now. I may give fast feedback in the course of the show, but more importantly, I\u2019m there for any talent.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m there for anybody that desires to discuss their performance that night, or their creative process, or how they\u2019re going to approach a certain scene, or their match, or their finish, or anything that they wish to discuss, this business, within the art type of the presentation, immediate or long run. I\u2019m there to seek advice from them, if I can have the freedom of using this phrase, to bestow some wisdom upon them.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
