Teams showing interest in Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Alexander Nikishin<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Darren Dreger<\/strong><\/a>: There are upwards of six teams which have shown interest in Carolina Hurricanes pending RFA defenseman Alexander Nikishin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Nikishin\u2019s contract asking price is a significant factor.<\/p>\n

St. Louis Blues GM on having 4 first-round picks<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Jeremy Rutherford<\/strong><\/a>: St. Louis Blues GM Doug Armstrong on having 4 first-round picks and the potential of them trading up: \u201cEveryone knows what now we have, and in the event that they want to interact St. Louis, that pick \u2014 1, 2, 3, 4 \u2014 they know what now we have and I’d welcome the decision.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Buffalo Sabres may move the No. 4 \u2026 Interest in Connor Hellebuyck<\/strong><\/h2>\n

TSN<\/a><\/strong>: Pierre LeBrun said that Buffalo Sabres want to add, and that the majority teams don\u2019t consider the Sabres will make the pick at No. 4. They\u2019ve lost Bowen Byram<\/a> and Alex Tuch<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI consider they\u2019ve had conversations with the\u00a0Latest York Rangers\u00a0about\u00a0Vincent Trocheck<\/a>. They\u2019ve talked to the\u00a0Winnipeg Jets\u00a0about\u00a0Connor Hellebuyck<\/a>\u00a0and with the\u00a0Toronto Maple Leafs\u00a0about\u00a0Matthew Knies<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s hard to say how serious the Sabres are about Hellebuyck. The Jets may wish to get their hands on the No. 4 pick.<\/p>\n

The Winnipeg Jets don\u2019t havet to trade Hellebuyck this season. The Florida Panthers have an interest, but they don\u2019t need to trade Anton Lundell<\/a>, and wouldn\u2019t include him within the Brady Tkachuk<\/a> deal. They Panthers don\u2019t have plenty of assets left. The Carolina Hurricanes were one other team that has had some interest in Hellebuyck.<\/p>\n

Time is ticking for the Dallas Stars and Jason Robertson<\/strong><\/h2>\n

TSN<\/a><\/strong>: Pierre LeBrun said Dallas Stars and Jason Robertson<\/a> proceed to speak. There was some speculation that talks were way off and that the Stars were only focused on trading Robertson. Have been told that, that isn’t true. The Stars are listening to groups calling, so that they must incase the don\u2019t reach a deal. Then there’s the offer sheet, that will must be seven years, and never the popular eight, which Robertson would really like.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo. 2, in the event you\u2019re doing a suggestion sheet at seven years, you almost certainly must be within the $15 million range with a purpose to get him. I\u2019m not saying a team wouldn\u2019t, but that\u2019s a fairly large number.<\/p>\n

And eventually, the compensation, which could be 4 first-round picks with a purpose to offer sheet Robertson. I\u2019m not saying I wouldn\u2019t do it, but I\u2019m just saying you might have to think hard about that.\u201d<\/p>\n

A team trading for Robertson seems to make more sense than the offer sheet.<\/p>\n
