Triple H says the intense health issues that forced him into retirement are actually firmly behind him, and he credits WWE\u2019s recent generation of talent for giving him renewed energy.<\/p>\n

The WWE Chief Content Officer officially retired from in-ring competition in March 2022 after suffering a life-threatening cardiac event in September 2021.<\/p>\n

Speaking with Stephen A. Smith, Triple H shared that he stays focused on maintaining his health and ensuring those challenges stay previously. He explained that working with WWE\u2019s rising stars has brought a brand new level of pleasure to his profession, saying the corporate\u2019s youth movement has helped keep him feeling young.<\/p>\n

Triple H added that he genuinely enjoys leading WWE\u2019s creative direction and hopes to proceed doing so for a few years to return.<\/p>\n

On being healthy and being excited for the longer term:<\/strong> \u201cNo, I believe that\u2019s very observant and I believe you\u2019re spot on. You don\u2019t expect it and also you don\u2019t see it coming. But I did have the problems. They\u2019re behind me now. I\u2019m \u2014 you already know, I would like to be sure that they stay behind me, so I\u2019m cautious of every thing I do and I\u2019m protective of it.<\/p>\n

On working with the younger talent:<\/strong> \u201cThe one thing that\u2019s funny to me is, you mentioned Jerry Jones saying putting youth around him. Once you put youth around you, that youth gets throughout you, man. And it\u2019s the best thing on the planet. So anytime I\u2019m around these kids, after I\u2019m on the road, people talk over with me about, \u2018God, you desire to back off being on the road?\u2019 We\u2019re live two to thrice per week, we\u2019re in a special city on a regular basis. It\u2019s loads, man. The travel, the grind, it\u2019s still there. However it\u2019s hard to place down because I like it. I like being around those kids. I like collaborating with them and helping them, and kind of riffing ideas with them. It keeps you young and it\u2019s it\u2019s the best a part of my job. It\u2019s like being within the fountain of youth in any respect times. And just \u2014 they keep you young and pondering young, and I get as much out of being around them as they get around being around us old-timers, you already know. So it\u2019s a blast. I\u2019m having a blast doing it and I would like to maintain doing it.\u201d<\/p>\n
