Sean Morley, higher known to wrestling fans as Val Venis, has once more taken aim at WWE over the corporate\u2019s public support of the LGBTQ+ community, arguing that its stance will ultimately damage the brand and hurt its bottom line.<\/p>\n

The previous WWE Superstar shared his latest criticism on social media, claiming that WWE\u2019s continued support of LGBTQ+ initiatives would negatively impact the corporate\u2019s business. It marks the most recent in a series of comparable comments Morley has made about WWE\u2019s diversity and inclusion efforts lately.<\/p>\n

Despite Morley\u2019s claims, WWE\u2019s financial performance has largely trended in the wrong way. Over the past twenty years, the corporate has reported year-over-year second-quarter revenue growth in nearly yearly, with notable exceptions through the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and one other isolated 12 months. Throughout that period, WWE has continued to expand through record-setting media rights agreements, premium live event partnerships, sponsorship deals, and international growth.<\/p>\n

WWE\u2019s support of the LGBTQ+ community is much from latest. In 2011, the corporate partnered with GLAAD, becoming one in all the primary major sports entertainment organizations to work directly with the LGBTQ+ advocacy group. Starting in 2014, WWE further strengthened that commitment by featuring Superstars in campaigns centered on diversity, inclusion, and anti-bullying, with many performers participating in Pride Month initiatives and public awareness campaigns over time.<\/p>\n

This can be not the primary time Morley has publicly criticized WWE\u2019s position.<\/p>\n

In 2025, he targeted WWE Superstar Chelsea Green after she expressed support for transgender people on social media. Morley quote-posted Green\u2019s comments, prompting Green to reply publicly. Their exchange sparked significant discussion amongst wrestling fans online. Morley has also been targeting Michelle Obama in recent days, accusing her of being a person with no credible evidence.<\/p>\n
