On a recent edition of AEW Dynamite, Will Ospreay made a line about his recent marriage that caught loads of attention on social media. He said,\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI got wife, man. So here\u2019s what I did to treat her \u2014 I took her upstairs, I smashed the life out of her, bruv. I said, \u2018Babe, clean yourself up, I gotta\u2019 go to Houston.\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Some have criticized Ospreay for the road, including questioning whether his recent wife, Alex Windsor, approved of the comment<\/strong> to be aired globally.<\/p>\n

Talking to \u201c107.7 The Bone,\u201d Ospreay was confused as to why fans who watch AEW have had such a difficulty with the road.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The English wrestler also suggested that when he said he \u2018smashed the life\u2019 out of Windsor, he meant he handily defeated her at Mario Kart. He said,<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know why everyone was so mad about it. That is the thing. I said she\u2019s wife. I used to be explaining how amazing of an individual she is. She\u2019s encouraged me to follow my dream. Then I said I took her upstairs and smashed the life out of her, at Mario Kart. Like, I beat her so bad at Mario Kart, and after I said to her, \u2018Clean yourself up, love. I\u2019m going to Houston,\u2019 she was sweating, mate. She was sweating attempting to play this game. It\u2019s 38 degrees over in England immediately. It\u2019s so hot. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t get why everyone was so mad about it, I\u2019ll be honest with you guys. People got indignant, and truthfully, I attract anger in every single place I’m going, but I can\u2019t please all you guys. That is me. I\u2019m authentically myself. I don\u2019t mean any harm. I\u2019m just being funny. Here\u2019s the thing that I\u2019ll all the time say about this. My boss didn\u2019t care. Warner Bros. didn\u2019t care. Paramount Pictures didn\u2019t care. My wife didn\u2019t care. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

2So on that note, I politely disagree with all of you if you’ve gotten an issue with it. There are such a lot of other things happening on this planet that actually need our attention, our love and our care. Don\u2019t come to me with mine and my wife\u2019s relationship.
