Don\u2019t expect the Calgary Flames to do much in free agency<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Pat Steinberg<\/strong><\/a>: The Calgary Flames are usually not expected to re-sign pending UFAs Ryan Lomberg<\/a>, Jake Bean<\/a>, Victor Olofsson<\/a>, and Justin Kirkland<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There could also be just a few depth free agent signings, but should expect them to be quiet for essentially the most part.<\/p>\n

The San Jose Sharks got a proposal for the No. 2 pick that they seriously considered<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Sheng Peng<\/strong><\/a>: San Jose Sharks GM Mike Grier<\/a> said that they received a trade offer for the No. 2 pick that was under \u201cstrong consideration.\u201d He said that it involved a longtime player that fit their timeline.<\/p>\n

Until the No. 7 pick and when it was clear that defenseman Keaton Verhoeff would fall to No. 9, they were talking calls on the pick.<\/p>\n

NHL Rumors: Capitals, Lightning, Kings, and Islanders<\/a><\/p>\n

The Columbus Blue Jackets weren\u2019t moving the No. 14 if Oscar Hemming was still there<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Aaron Portline<\/strong><\/a>: Columbus Blue Jackets GM Don Waddell<\/a> said that that they had a few trade offers for the No. 14 pick, but Waddell told teams that if Oscar Hemming was available to them, he wouldn\u2019t move the pick. They chose Hemming.<\/p>\n

Where do things stand for the Edmonton Oilers and Darnell Nurse?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

TSN<\/a><\/strong>: Darren Dreger on where things stand with Edmonton Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse<\/a>. Nurse might have to expand his list.<\/p>\n

Gino Reda: \u201cHey, listen, we all know Darnell Nurse wants out of Edmonton. We also know he\u2019s got 4 years left on his deal to pay him nine and 1 \/ 4 million dollars a season. What else will we know concerning the Nurse situation? Is there any interest right away?<\/p>\n

Dreger: \u201cWell, there\u2019s interest, but at this point it feels limited, just because you recognize it\u2019s a three-team list. That\u2019s what was submitted when Darnell Nurse made his trade request. And Stan Bowman, the overall manager of the Edmonton Oilers, has roughly exhausted negotiations with the Nurse camp.<\/p>\n

So, what might must occur is for Darnell Nurse to expand that three-team list right into a wider margin for the Oilers to work with. It\u2019s a frustrating process right away, little question about that. Possibly it gets more complicated due to the names that CJ and Pierre have already talked about. Among the teams which might be on Darnell Nurse\u2019s list could be teams, after all, that may be concerned with (Zach) Werensky or (John) Carlson as a free agent. So it\u2019s getting more delicate and definitely more complicated between Nurse and the Oilers.\u201d<\/p>\n
