Shara Magomedov rips \u2018domestic champion\u2019 Sean Strickland<\/h2>\n

Sean Strickland is aiming to defend his UFC middleweight belt before the top of 2026. <\/p>\n

A fight with Shara Magomedov isn\u2019t on his radar since the Russian fighter is nowhere near title contention.<\/p>\n

The one-eyed \u2018Pirate\u2019 has never fought within the US, presumably because he can\u2019t get medically cleared.<\/p>\n

Magomedov believes Strickland will exclusively fight in America moving forward to avoid facing him. <\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t even wish to hassle, he\u2019s only a windbag, brother,\u201d he told Red Corner MMA<\/a> on Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis time will come, and we\u2019ll meet within the cage. The cage will show all the pieces, yes. Right away, he\u2019s just talking trash, so what? What am I speculated to do, go to America to chase him or something? <\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s like a domestic champion, brother. Only a house pet who acts like a giant hero in his gym, playing the hero somewhere. For instance, in the event that they told him right away, \u2018Come to Azerbaijan,\u2019 he wouldn\u2019t come. Just because he\u2019s scared. He won\u2019t leave America now, yeah. <\/p>\n

\u201cAnd if we needed to fight, he would say \u2018Come to America,\u2019 knowing that for me to go to America right away, in the mean time, getting a visa isn\u2019t figuring out. So, he\u2019ll just stay a domestic champion. In case you tell him, \u2018Come to Abu Dhabi,\u2019 he\u2019ll probably walk around with five security guards, and even then, he likely won\u2019t go. <\/p>\n

Shara Magomedov\u2019s UFC Baku win <\/strong>hit by controversy <\/h2>\n

Shara Magomedov overcame an early knockdown to earn three 29-28 scorecards from the cageside judges at UFC Baku. <\/p>\n

Many consider the fight would\u2019ve been scored a draw if Herb Dean did his job accurately throughout the night\u2019s co-main event.<\/p>\n

Alex Pereira branded the referee a \u2018coward\u2019 for failing to penalize Magomedov for repeatedly pulling Michel Pereira\u2019s hair.<\/p>\n

Tom Aspinall also voiced his frustration at Dean, who gave several warnings without taking some extent from the fouling fighter.<\/p>\n

Michel Pereira has claimed the results of his UFC Baku fight was \u2018compromised\u2019 by poor officiating. <\/p>\n

One indignant fan created a petition to get Dean banned from the UFC, which has been shared by \u2018Poatan\u2019 and Magomedov\u2019s disgruntled opponent.<\/p>\n
