Oleksandr Usyk enjoyed his experience of crossover fighting a lot that he is likely to be about to do it again.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Legendary two-weight undisputed champion Usyk stunned the boxing world this week when he gave up his remaining belts in an effort to open up a special final fight for himself. He just defeated kickboxing icon Rico Verhoeven for the WBC title in a controversial KO finish, and is now eyeing retirement.<\/p>\n

Usyk won heavyweight gold on the London 2012 Olympics, before making the switch to the paid ranks the next 12 months. He systematically went about travelling the world to unify the cruiserweight belts before going as much as heavyweight and doing it again with a string of impressive wins.<\/p>\n

Jon Jones is potential opponent for Oleksandr Usyk\u2019s final fight<\/h2>\n

UFC legend Jon Jones has been unable to come back to a deal to fight for the heavyweight title lately, and appears to be retired from fighting. Nevertheless, The Ring Magazine now reports that he is likely to be an option for Oleksandr Usyk\u2019s potential final bout.<\/p>\n

Mike Coppinger has spoken to Usyk\u2019s advisor Sergey Lapin, who told him that there are plans for a super-fight later this 12 months. Jones is one option, while former world champion Deontay Wilder is the opposite name being floated.<\/p>\n

Wilder is something of damaged goods after being knocked out twice by Tyson Fury, losing to Joseph Parker and being stopped by Zhilei Zhang. But he has returned with two wins since that losing streak and boxed at his best in defeating Derek Chisora earlier this 12 months.<\/p>\n

The hard-hitting American would also complete the set for Usyk of his generation\u2019s best heavyweights. He already holds double victories over Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, and has been vocal about wanting so as to add Wilder\u2019s name to his impressive CV.<\/p>\n
