The water level of Angat Dam barely declined on Wednesday because it continued to operate below its critical level, in line with the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).<\/p>\n
The dam\u2019s water level fell by 0.05 meters (m) to 159.90m from 159.95m on Tuesday, PAGASA said in its 8 a.m. dam water level update.<\/p>\n
The newest drop was the smallest every day decrease since Monday, after the dam recorded declines of greater than half a meter on the previous two days.<\/p>\n
The dam, which provides greater than 90% of Metro Manila\u2019s water supply, has remained below the critical water level of 160m since Tuesday.<\/p>\n
4 other major dams also recorded lower water levels on Wednesday: La Mesa by 0.14m to 79.72m, San Roque by 0.13m to 230.05m, Pantabangan by 0.29m to 179.63m, and Magat by 0.68m to 164.21m.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, 4 other dams posted increases of their water levels: Ipo by 0.29m to 100.54m, Ambuklao by 0.05m to 740.38m, Binga by 0.05m to 567.21m, and Caliraya by 0.14m to 286.60m.<\/p>\n
